Single-family rental home construction has increased 63 percent from a year ago. As people have more flexibility in work, they seek different accommodations. Even though single-family rental residences represent only five percent of the market, it will likely grow as people look for bigger spaces with access to recreation.

While demand for single-family homes remains high, demand for rental units has been increasing, too. There is a lot of construction and it’s happening in suburbs and exurbs, too.
